Rick Mercer drives a TTC streetcar

In today's Rick Mercer Report, Mercer does a feature on the TTC where he learns to drive a TTC streetcar, subway and bus. It's fun, especially if you've always wondered how to drive a streetcar. He also chats with TTC chair Adam Giambrone. You can watch the video in the program archives for Feb. 20, 2007.

saw the David Suzuki clip from that show... a good chuckle

Whenever I see the "make a wish foundation" ads, I never have to wonder what I would wish for, because I would really love to drive a streetcar and a subway.

Kevin: if you lived in Calgary, you could have your wish. The transit service has roadside ads and ads on all the vehicles: they are desperate for drivers.

they are desperate for drivers here too - at least for the buses anyway.
