Visions for a Walkable Toronto — Workshop
By Dylan Reid // 1 Comment

The City of Toronto, in partnership with Spacing magazine, is holding a public workshop on "Visions for a Walkable Toronto" on Wednesday, April 25. The workshop will begin the process of getting citizen input into the development of a Toronto Walking Strategy. It is the first of a series of monthly public consultations leading up to the Walk21 conference in October.
This initial workshop is intended to start the process of forming a vision for making Toronto a great walkable city. It will feature three great speakers, followed by facilitated group discussions to allow the city to hear ideas from citizens. The speakers are:
- Jim Walker, Chair of the Walk21 International Conference Series
- Bronwen Thornton, head of Living Streets Consultancy Services
- Gil Penalosa, Executive Director of the non-profit Walk & Bike for Life
It's a good opportunity to hear international experts on creating a walkable city, and to help shape the city's walking strategy. We hope that lots of people will participate in this first workshop:
