Snow storm stories, Part II

Back in December, we asked readers to share their winter storm stories with us. We received some great vignettes, including a plethora of tales about delays on downtown streetcars due to poorly parked vehicles.

Let us know how today's influx of snow has affected your life.

I suggest keep watching the King City radar -- it's sort of magnificent to watch the brightly coloured clouds head our way:

I live a 20 minute walk to work, so it has had no impact on me (other than I had to wear a scarf).

For a reminder on how things have changed, (or maybe how much they haven't) check out this footage of a Toronto snowstorm in 1944. It starts at the 5:30 mark.

Amazing!

That's pretty cool uSkyscraper. Where do people dig up these things?!

Lots of unshoveled brine-filled corners. Otherwise alright.

Also the apartment buildings around St James Town do a very poor job of taking care of their sidewalks.

Classes were cancelled! I went to class (fortunately I live in residence so it's a 5 minute walk) and when I went to my class in Robarts Library I was told in the elevator that classes were cancelled.

It seemed like people were having fun though. At lunch, the kids were having a snowball fight in the courtyard of our residence building, which is usually empty.

This was not nearly as bad as the December blast.
