Spacing call for volunteers!

Spacing is looking for a few good men and women to help us at events. If you've wanted to get involved in the magazine, but weren't sure how, here's your chance. Throughout the year, we throw multiple launch parties and fundraising events. In the summer and fall, we participate in functions such as the Queen West Art Crawl and Word on the Street. We're looking for people who can help us prepare for upcoming events, help with set-up, sell magazines, subscriptions, and subway buttons, and inform people about Spacing's magazine and blog

Though this is a volunteer position, we would be able to provide you with a free subscription (if you don't already have one), and some free subway buttons. Other perks include the opportunity to mix and mingle with Spacing readers, contributors, and editors, the chance to gain greater insight into the glamorous world of small magazine publishing, and, in the case of launch parties, free drinks.

Those interested should send an email of interest to Spacing's Executive Editor (and now Executive Volunteer Coordinator) Dale Duncan (dale[at]spacing.ca). Please briefly outline why you're interested in helping out and any skills and experience you have that you believe would be an asset.
