WHERE: Locations across Toronto including BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, the Canada Life building, the City of Toronto Archives, and more
Join Toronto Culture Saturday and Sunday, May 24 & 25, 2008 and renew your faith in Toronto architecture! Multicultural places of worship and Toronto's National Historic Sites will be in the spotlight during this year's event, which gives visitors an opportunity to explore over 140 buildings of architectural, historic, cultural and/or social significance; admission is free. Many of the city's finest churches, chapels, temples, synagogues and mosques are among the featured buildings this year, as well as structures never before open to the public.

WHAT: Community Environment Days
WHEN: May 24, 10 am - 2 pm
WHERE: Seneca College Newnham Campus (1750 Finch Ave. E.) and Toronto Parking Authority Lot (3885 Yonge St.)
How many times have you heard that one person's trash is another person's treasure? It's a familiar saying, and for good reason: it's true! Bring your unwanted and unused “stuff†to your local Community Environment Day, hosted by your city councillor, and transform your trash into treasure.

WHERE: Kensington Market
Get outside and enjoy the first Pedestrian Sunday of the year — the Grand Opening Spring Celebration! Festivities include a flirty Maypole dance for adults, a giant pià±ata for the kids, the return of the community Garden Car, a parade honouring the living history of Kensington Market, and a day full of music, dance and fun celebrating spring and the beginnings of new life.

WHAT: Danforth East Neighbourhood Tree Tour
WHEN: May 25 from 2 pm - 4 pm
WHERE: Meet at Woodbine Subway Station
This tour, led by arborist Todd Irvine and local activist Mary Margaret McMahon, will explore the charming co-friendly Danforth East neighbourhood. Admire the massive canopies of the many historic white and red oaks that spread over the quaint homes below and discover why they are so prominent in this area. Hidden among the predominating oaks, we will also find other interesting native tree species. As we meander through the shady streets south of the Danforth, we will learn of the challenges facing the urban forest and how local tree planting and conservation initiatives are re-invigorating the entire neighbourhood. From greening projects on TTC property to motivating local businesses to care for street trees, this community has a shared vision of a greener future.

WHAT: Dancing in the Park
WHEN: May 27 (and every Tuesday in June)
WHERE: Edward's Gardens (777 Lawrence Ave. East)
Spring is finally here, and what better way to enjoy Toronto's green spaces than by dancing in them. Edwards Gardens hosts Dancing in the Park, where on the last Tuesday in May and every Tuesday in June, you can dance in the meadow to the wonderful music of Bobby Brown and The Scottish Accent.

WHAT: Stiltwalking Workshop
WHEN: May 30, 7 — 9 pm
WHERE: Dufferin Grove Park
Friends of Dufferin Grove Park are bringing back their drop-in community stiltwalking workshops! Stop by and give it a try, or brush up on your skills. Meet at the Field House in Dufferin Grove Park, that's the small brick building near the soccer field. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
