Spacing summer-fall release party Sept. 9th

WHAT: Summer-Fall 2008 release party
WHEN: Tuesday, September 9th, 8pm-12:30am
WHERE: Canadian Corps, 201 Niagara St., south of King, west of Bathurst
HOW MUCH: $10, includes mag
FACEBOOK: feel free to RSVP to our event listing

Spacing's summer-fall 2008 issue will hit newsstands starting this coming Tuesday, and subscribers should start receiving the issue at that time too.

But we still like to foster face-to-face conversations with our readers so the tradition of the magazine throwing a release party continues: we've booked the charming Canadian Corps legion hall in the Bathurst and King St. West neighbourhood. The down-home Nova Scotians who run the place and the salt-of-the-earth regulars are a perfect fit for our "People Issue." As Spacing editor Shawn Micallef once wrote, the price of drinks at this legion hall is very un-Torontonian and more likely to be found in Sudbury.
