Check out this blow by blow description by a NYTimes travel writer. Great collection of snapshots that captures a lot of different downtown neighbourhoods.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/17/travel/17hours.html

local critics might wonder about our streetcars running on time... and while it is very downtown in focus I could have used a plug for at least one suburban service ... the airport! The writer plugs Porter as the cheapest way to get to T.O. (only cheap if you don't calculate the environmental impact... the federal subsidy, and of course the cost to the quality of life for all who live and love the waterfront. Otherwise take a look.
