SPACING: looking for photo and multimedia interns

Spacing is on the search for two interns (or maybe more) for the summer and, if things work out well, maybe into the fall and winter.

PHOTO INTERN
Spacing has always prided itself on displaying excellent photography in the magazine and on our web site and blogs. We have a great stable of photo contributors, but we're always on the look-out for new and emerging talents. Spacing seeks a photo intern who will take on assignments for the magazine, initiate their own photo essays and projects, and act as an assistant photo editor to our art director. The individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently. A keen interest in public spaces and the urban landscape is not required but will certainly help your cause. Any skills with Flash or other web-based applications is a nice bonus for us. Deadline is Tuesday, June 9. Email a cover letter and link(s) to your portfolio to photointern@spacing.ca

MULTIMEDIA INTERN
Spacing is on the search for an individual who can help produce a variety of graphics and web-specific features for the digital components of our web site and blogs. The individual will transform previously published articles into web features as well create original editorial content. The individual will work under the guidance of Spacing's art director and web developer. He or she must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as display a range of multimedia skills. Deadline is Tuesday, June 9. Email a cover letter and link(s) to your portfolio to multimediaintern@spacing.ca
