Montreal Monday: Neighbourhood walks, 5-day concerts and Bixi’s winter hibernation

Each Monday, we bring you some of the popular posts from our sister blog, Spacing Montreal. We'll keep an eye open for topics and discussions that are pertinent to current public space issues in Toronto.

• As Bixi-Montreal's internationally renowned and wildly successful bike share program- winds done for the winter, à‰mile Thomas muses on the program and the good it has done for the city and its residents.

• Last week the 11th annual 5-day à‰tat d'Urgence was held in Montreal's Berri Square.  The event provides free food, clothing and all-night entertainment for people in need.

Spacing Montreal's Chris Erd walks the city's Rosemont and St-Michel neighbourhoods providing excellent insight into the neighbourhoods' history, architecture, and character.
