SEASONAL RECIPES: The Rob Ford Cranktini

xmas-recipes-cranktini

Welcome to City Hall Seasonal Recipes: Spacing will present a handful of drinks, desserts, and snacks that are catered to our very own political leaders. The series will continue until the end of the year.

Ingredients for the Rob Ford Cranktini:

1/5th Cranberry juice
1/5th Gin
3/5th  Pure ideological rage
Garnish with a dash of populism

Directions: Take all ingredients and shake really, really hard. Then pour into drinking glass while muttering about the Communists on council. Warning: do not order this drink at Toronto Maple Leaf home games and do not hand out business cards after ingesting.

Well done, Matt. I love any and all opportunities to take a shot at Rob Ford. I plan to do it with great regularity during the upcoming election.

Just to be clear, we'll be taking shots at all sides. Ford is just an easy target to lead off with.

I realize that opening statement might come off as sarcastic. I really do think you do a good job toeing the integrity line when the issues one which you report would seem to draw you clearly to one side.

This is an appropriate way to look at politics.

It's good to know what goes into a Rob Ford Cranktini so you recognize a good drink when it comes along.

Great idea Matt! I look forward to seeing what you come up with for Adam Giambrone, Adam Vaughan, Sandra Busin, Joe Pantalone, Shelley Carroll, Maria Augimieri, Kyle Rae, Mayor Miller himself...just to name a few.

Matt: Health and Safety warnings may be required for some of your cocktails. Being in the same room with them may be dangerous just from the vapours, let alone explosive potential!

What about Denzil Minnan-Wong and Case Ootes?

It's too much like a girly drink, I think potato juice should be substituted for the cranberry juice.

Glenn De Baeremaeker could simply become Glenn de Beermaker.

Groan. ;)

I'll bet he has funds to buy said ingredients for the cranktini - and enjoy copious drinks. Unlike the folks who the physician he ratted out was trying to help.
