Event Guide: Walking Strategy Designer’s Forum

How can Toronto's design community contribute to making Toronto a better city for walking? To help get the City's new Walking Strategy off the ground, the City has teamed up with designers of all stripes to hold a panel discussion about "Can the design community bring Torontonians to their feet?"

What's innovative about this panel is that it includes not just the usual suspects -- architects and landscape architects -- but also industrial, graphic and interior designers (think street furniture, or wayfinding signs). It should be a fascinating and mind-opening discussion for all types of designers and also for anyone interested in walking and improving our urban fabric.

Panel Discussion
"Can the design community bring Torontonians to their feet?"

Moderator: Arlene Gould
Design Panel Members include: Tim Poupore ACIDO, Scott Torrance OALA, Antonio Gomez-Palacio OAA, Susan Mole ARIDO, and Wayne McCutcheon R.G.D.

When: Tuesday, January 19th, 2010
6-6:30 drinks - cash bar
6:30-8:30 panel discussion
