Congrats to U of T and especially Ryerson on the street closings. Could not make more sense in 2010, and bully for the universities to lead the way.

For the TTC to improve customer service it needs sustained operation funding/subsidies from the provincial and/or federal governments. Canada is the only western country that does not support public transit. When the Harris government cut the operating subsidy, that was when customer service went downhill. The TTC was cleaner before then, for example.
