This year's Toronto Urban Film Festival (TUFF) got its start last Wednesday as a call for submissions was issued from the Dundas subway station. TUFF runs coinciding with the Toronto International Film Festival and features minute-long silent features displayed on over 270 of ONESTOP media's subway platform—level screens across the city. The press conference, which had TTC Chair Adam Giambrone as well as TUFF's guest judge Don McKellar, announced the festival's call for submissions where selections can be displayed in the only festival of its kind in North America. “One minute to silently seduce a weary commuter,” said Don McKellar, writer/actor/director. “It's a challenge that distills cinema to its essence.”

April is Keep Toronto Reading month at the Toronto Public Library and they have tons of events going on all month around the city. Here are a few of the events happening in the first two weeks of April.
